Chicks in Hats: Photography by Julie Persons

Julie Persons from the Etsy store Chicks in Hats  talks a little bit about the chickens behind all this and the reasons behind why in the world she would want to photograph them wearing hats. Make sure to like visit her shop and like her Facebook page!

Who's chickens are these!?

These are our family pet chicks, we raise them as egg chickens here on our farm and we love them dearly.

What inspired you to take pictures of chicks in hats?

My (then)8 year old daughter first made tiny hats for her pet gerbils and then decided to try little hats on our newest batch of baby chicks and we had such fun we decided we needed more hats.

Where do you get the hats from?

My daughter and I make many of the hats, either from fabric or paper or needle felted wool  and the rest are vintage doll hats we find along the way.

Some of her favorite music at the moment:

  3. I usually do not leave a ton of comments, however i
did some searching and wound up here "Chicks in Hats: Photography by Julie Persons".
And I do have 2 questions for you if it's allright. Could it be just me or does it seem like a few of these comments come across like they are left by brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are posting at other online sites, I would like to follow everything fresh you have to post. Would you list of the complete urls of your public pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
